MOORESTOWN, NJ – Burlington County business owner and Republican candidate for Congress Bob Healey today issued the following statement following an NJGlobe Debate with opponent Congressman Andy Kim:

“Albert Einstein once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result … Kind of like sending the same people back to Congress each year and expecting things to change.

My opponent, Congressman Kim, has spent four years in office voting for policies that have given us record inflation and rising crime. Moreover, he’s spent literally his entire adult life in Washington, D.C., rendering him increasingly out of touch with what people back home are facing, feeling, and experiencing.  

How else can you explain Congressman Kim joining the radical progressive caucus? A group that wants to cut military spending – which would cripple the Joint Base. A group that wants to defund the police and believes law enforcement is the enemy. A group that wants socialist economic and fiscal policies that will further drive up the cost of living with higher taxes, more spending, rising debt, and a government that increasingly wants to control every aspect of our lives.

Folks, we can do better.

I will fight inflation by cutting taxes. I will stand with our police to crack down on crime. And I will always put the people I represent before the party I belong to. That’s a promise.
